Mantis Man- is a character I created for ZBrush Action Hero Contest in 2009. The character won the 5th prize out of roughly 100 entries. The model was created entirely in ZBrush and composited in Photoshop.

I showed this too my 5 year old son, and he thought it was more than cool.
He actually got upset with me when I couldn’t show him anymore pics or vids on the Mantis Man.
You have definitely hit a cord with the younger audience.
This is a nice character that created in ZBrush within photoshop.

I’m surprised nobody thought of a character based on the praying mantis before. That insect has so much personality, and the perfect image of an evil character. (Is your version evil?)

First time I saw this image I had a flashback of the movies Batman and Spiderman because of the darkness of the aura and character. I can picture it as a possible villain in an animation.
I agree with Bill, you have definitely hit a cord with the younger audience but it will probably appeal to older ones as well.
Please do some more scultping. My son had the same sort of reaction to Bill, so let us know when you have some more of Mantis Man.
